Voting Closes For TRIBLIVE’s Best Of The Best Community Choice Awards

Our readers have spoken! Voting for TribLIVE’s Best of the Best Community Choice Awards closed on October 9 with over 27,000 participants casting 286,365 votes identifying the top 3 businesses in each of our 132 categories and 5 regions.

Trib Total Media Marketing and Advertising Consultants have the pleasure of calling on these finalists to share the good news.

“Having their businesses being voted as “the best”, during a nationwide pandemic, has been like a breath of fresh air,” said Jenna Poorbaugh, Trib Total Media Marketing & Advertising Consultant.

The Best of the Best program launched in July 2020 when individuals were asked to submit nominations for the best businesses in their area. In just two weeks, over 53,800 nominations were submitted.

The community support around this program has been tremendous,” said Al DiCroce, Trib Total Media Director of Advertising. “It has been embraced by individuals and businesses alike. Individuals are excited to nominate and vote for their favorite businesses and, in turn, those businesses are pushing it out on social media encouraging their customers to support them.

Small local businesses are still suffering from the effects of the covid-19 pandemic with many having to reduce hours and staff or close entirely. But this program is helping businesses reconnect with their customers and helping Trib Total Media connect with businesses with whom they’ve not done business in the past.

“One of my clients had only been open a week then had to close for a couple of months,” said Poorbaugh. “I called and told her she was a finalist – in 3 categories! She was so excited and totally shocked. These businesses have been through so much; they need some positivity and this program is doing just that.”

Winners and finalists will be announced in a special section of the Tribune-Review and Trib Total Media’s weekly community newspapers on Thursday, December 10.
